“Painting with light and shadow.” This describes quite well what I’m doing with my architectural pictures. Especially these pictures are not about to be a realistic replica of reality. Rather, I use the taken picture like a canvas on which I create my own reality with the help of targeted use of light and shadow in post processing. I use the method of long time exposure. So the dynamics of wind and clouds, or even time can be represented, at the same time the method supports the creation of my reality.
In my landscape pictures it is my intention to show nature at its best. This often requires getting up early and good preparation. Many of my pictures are taken in Northern Germany, but I go even further in Germany and travels to other countries to make beautiful pictures. Post processing plays also a role here, but not as great as in the architectural pictures.
Nature & Macro
In addition to flowers, insects, etc., the light is the star at my nature & macro pictures. I love backlight shots with low sun. So and with the help of a large aperture I create the beautiful bokehs in the background.
